General Job Description

The Corporate Trainer is responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of continuous education and skill building. They create and maintain materials to support learning and development strategies. They are a teacher and collaborator, which builds structure, monitors, audits, and follows up, with the goal of ensuring every employee has a development plan actively in place. They partner with senior leadership and human resources to develop a long-term talent development program for current and future team members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with managers to determine training needs.

  • Develop and prepare educational material such as module summaries.

  • Plan and schedule training sessions for administration, middle management, and front-line employees

  • Analyze and recommend learning solutions and activities.

  • Design and develop solutions for various learning competences.

  • Train individuals or groups of people ad-hoc or as a part of a continued program, by way of in-person teaching and program management.

  • Design and implement a system for periodic skills auditing and retraining to ensure consistency and maintain best practices.

  • Track training program effectiveness, providing and incorporating feedback in real-time.

  • Participate in on-going inter-departmental learning/teaching opportunities and brainstorming sessions.

  • Identify and evaluate external sources of training materials and courses.

  • Responsible for working with department managers to ensure processes are properly turned into training and training plans are properly executed and followed up on.

  • Responsible for auditing and tracking the status of all process documentation and the correlation to department training plans.

  • Coordinating onboarding schedules for new employees and providing core non-positional employee training

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have knowledge of roles, responsibilities, routines, and reasons for every position in the company. The CT does not need to have technical expertise to perform job functions but should have basic knowledge of all roles and how they impact the organization.

  • Coordinate and/or conduct periodic training for various roles: PCI-DSS, Forklift, First Responder, Sexual Harassment, Safety etc.

  • Provide training to all department managers on proper teaching techniques to build skills, quality, and consistency with their staff.

Qualifications for the Job:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or communications

  • Experience: 

    • Experience with an e-learning software is helpful

Regular full-time | Monday – Friday | $60k - $70k annually
