GRAPHIC DESIGNER
General Job Description
The role of the graphic designer is to collaborate with sales, production and the client, to best turn our customers’ visions into a reality. This provides a great customer experience and ensures that clients and businesses get their message across in ways that are memorable, effective and aesthetically pleasing. The graphic designer combines creativity and artistic talent by being a mastery of technologies in order to create images for a variety of products and clients. They learn multiple decoration methods and the proper techniques to deliver the best possible product both by research and by working hands-on and side-by-side with our production teams. They will produce proofs and set up production files within standard turnaround times and work to minimize revisions on proofing and production, maximizing productivity to reduce cost per job.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute ideas and/or design artwork to fulfill customer specifications.

Produce proofs as needed and as specified on the sales order for customer review and approval

Ensure brand guidelines are consistently met

Set up production files accurately and consistently based on decoration method
-
Collaborate with multiple departments across the company and vendors to ensure follow through on all creative deliverables.

Manage multiple projects at once by prioritizing and coordinating the flow of information internally and/or externally.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Solve business challenges through smart production

Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive and creative impact on the business.

Catalog and reference art for future projects

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Job:

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and 3+ years of similar experience.

Core Competencies:
-
Excellent technical skills in Illustrator. InDesign and Photoshop required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

Ability to learn multiple decoration methods and proper technique to deliver the best possible product.

Excellent conceptual skills and the ability to develop creative solutions

Meticulous attention to detail and robust proofreading skills

Strong time management skills/ability to handle multiple projects at once

Must possess strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment

Keen eye for the smallest details for reviewing final files, proofs, and ensuring standards across color, font, production quality and more.

Ability to adapt and help improve and streamline processes.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the customer’s needs.
