The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to maintain various machines ensuring they are in proper working condition to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document regular preventive maintenance on various machinery and cleaning. For example, Servo machines, forklift batteries and HVAC filter PMs

  • Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

  • Identify problems requiring maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment during inspection and repair process.

  • Assisting in equipment changeovers and moving equipment as needed

  • Recommend optimal resolution based on ability to troubleshoot repair.

  • Record and maintain repair records on all equipment.

  • Respond to maintenance requisitions that apply to position and provide quality workmanship in a timely manner

  • Record completion of work orders by documenting in detail the steps taken, parts installed, and/or repairs performed.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment before and after maintenance work has been performed.

  • Utilize proper lockout/tagout procedures to maintain a safe environment while repairing equipment.

  • Identify, recommend, and participate in opportunities to improve efficiency and safety practices on the machines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cross train and work with different Maintenance teammates to expand knowledge of equipment and facilities.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and returns on hand.

  • Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.

Qualifications for the Job:

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Vocational training in a technical trade helpful

  • Experience:

    • Experience in a mechanical environment.

    • Has prior troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  • Good mechanical aptitude required.

  • Must be able to read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Possess a high level of urgency and can work with minimal supervision.

  • Self-motivated

  • Must have an eye for detail.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships within the team and the organization.

  • Good follow through skills and accountability

  • Highly organized

  • Flexible with overtime and on-call when needed.
