LINE LEAD

Responsible for the performance of the assigned production line to ensure a quality product is delivered on time to the customer, while adhering to safety procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead and direct production line operators.

  • Place employees in the optimal position on the production line for efficiency and accuracy

  • Record production line downtime with specify reasons for the downtime

  • Conduct quick follow-up meeting to inform line team of job specifics: bottle color, cap, artwork, packing instructions, and any special requirements.

  • Inspect bottles after they come out of the heat tunnel and conduct a scratch test, looking for missing letters, holes, double images, targets, etc.

  • Work with Press Operator to correct any problems with bottle print.

  • Complete daily logs.

  • Train new employees and mentor current employees.

  • Motivate team.

  • Maintain workflow.

  • Exhibit leadership abilities and enforce rules and polices.

  • Ability to identify issues quickly and implement solutions if deemed appropriate.

  • Spot defects and identify root cause.

  • Resolve personnel issues on the line.

  • Immediately report any abnormal conditions to Production Supervisor/Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Manufacturing experience required.

  • Experience leading or supervising a team.

  • 3 years’ experience working as a skilled assembler in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Basic Mathematical Comprehension

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Ability to follow directions and execute instructions (oral or written).

  • Good communication skills and the ability to be accurate, patient, and responsible.

  • Possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities and effective time management/organizational skills

  • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints knowledgably and respectfully.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Reading Comprehension.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Basic math skills.

  • Must follow safety rules and procedures.

  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

  • Solid organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task.
