The Packout Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing the distribution of large volumes of orders that need to be kitted, packaged, and shipped to multiple locations. They must maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations and company policies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain process documentation for all department tasks.

  • Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and consumables.

  • Monitor communication with other departments.

  • Adjust schedule periodically as art approvals and product arrives.

  • Stage jobs in an efficient and organized manner.

  • Perform quality inspections on finished product before packaging by examining items for damage and decoration accuracy.

  • Provide quality feedback in daily production huddles.

  • Coach staff to meet quality standards and deadlines.

  • Communicate if there is a need for additional labor.

  • Plan their workload in advance.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help other production departments meet deadlines.

  • Cross train throughout all production departments to expand job knowledge.

  • Perform online research, attend webinars, communicate with vendors and trade specialists to self-educate, troubleshoot and improve processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic math and computer skills.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite with focus on Excel spreadsheets.

  • Strong reading skills with attention to detail and focus on quality.

  • Ability to work independently as well as teach and build skills in others.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Willing to learn new processes and software.

  • Able to recognize color variation.

  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and problem solve under pressure.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • High level of discipline and ability to follow routines and processes.

  • Able to work overtime as needed to ensure on time delivery.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 50 pounds.
