RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

The Receiving Associate is responsible for checking in and reconciling all incoming product to the company. They are responsible for making sure TeamWorld receives what we ordered and that the items are in good shape. The Receiver counts, measures, and/or weighs articles to verify contents of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or storage receipts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compare purchase orders with invoices and packing slips to verify accuracy of product received, including shortages or damaged product.

  • Receive and sign for deliveries.

  • Maintain records of orders, delivery details, etc.

  • Examines product for defects.

  • Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.

  • Organize and store received items in appropriate areas.

  • Update inventory with received items.

  • Records factors causing goods to be returned.

  • Complete product check in process in a timely manner.

  • Aid in maintaining overall inventory integrity and product throughput by adherence to approved methods and procedures.

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Properly communicate and identify opportunities and ideas to the supervisory and management staff.

  • Cross-train on alternate assignment and perform duties in other work areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High School diploma or GED.

  • Experience:

    • Two to three years of experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse work preferred.

    • Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
